About First Baptist Church of Stillwater

First Baptist Stillwater began meeting in November 1892 under the leadership of Rev. Samuel Huntsberry. The congregation incorporated in 1902 and joined the Southern Baptist Convention in 1914. Its current building at the southeast corner of 7th & Duncan was dedicated in June 1929, with a 700-seat sanctuary added in 1952. The church describes itself as a loving, mission-focused community whose desire is to see individuals come to know the saving power of Christ Jesus, supporting both local and global missionaries and partnering with area churches including Iglesia Bautista Bethel Spanish Church.
